I'd like to put on some events, how do I go about this?

You'll need to get in touch with us, first by either phone or e-mail, where we can discuss your plans and ideas, we'll establish what sort of requirements you have for your event(s) and come up with a roadmap of how we're going to go about it for your approval and consideration.

At some point, we'll probably want to drop in for a chat and to see the venue and get an idea of the layout, but you can be as involved as you wish to be - you can tell us exactly what you want, when you want it and how you want it, or you can give us a date and let us do all the work for you.

Do you I have to sign a contract for a certain number of events?

Sort of; we work with your requirements to come up with an event, or series of events that suits your venue. We'll ask you to sign into a contract at some point to confirm the details of any events, but there is no minimum or maximum amount.

You could have a big opening night after a refurbishment on its own, or you if you're looking to bring in clients - old and new - and liven up your venue, we can offer a series of events; weekly, bi-monthly, monthy; it's all up to you.

Do I need to have a music system already installed?

No. ManchesterSounds owns several PA Systems that vary in size and power, which allows us to cater from small sized (<300 people) to larger venues. If you already have your own system, then we're happy to work with that; but it's not a requirement.

What sort of bands and artists do you offer? Can I listen to them first?

We have all sorts of genres, artists and bands available for you to consider - we're not limited to one genre or one type. Own an indie venue? We've got indie bands. Rock club? We can provide genres from nu-metal to classic rock. Coffee Shop? Jazz artists and poets. We'll pick artists that are most suited to your venue.

It's expected that you'd like to be able to approve bands before you agree to have them, you want to check their sound, their quality, their attitude - you want to make sure that they're right for you. That's no problem for us either. We can provide a list of suggested artists, along with a few samples of their music for you to check out first before you agree to anything.

How much do you charge for holding an event?

It varies on a number of factors - size, location, genre, style, the level of marketing required and other elements (such as a PA System) that ManchesterSound may need to provide; there is no set-standard price for an event but we always, always make sure that we do everything that we can to be affordable, realistic and fair with the price. We're not rip-off merchants; we want you to make an overall profit and come away happy and satisfied.

How will you advertise and promote the event?

This very much depends on your venue and what you want to get out of events. We have a standard process that we go through for each event, which includes online advertising, using social networks, providing posters and materials as required; not forgetting the tweaks and strategies needed to cater for your target demographic to really maximise attendance.
